100% Gewürztraminer

Vineyard:

"Kühmösl" site - hill, 400 m above sea level, below the vineyard village of Montan, facing southwest. Well ventilated area with cool night temperatures.
Vineyard area: 0.65 hectares with 3,000 vines.
Vine age: 17 years and 1/3 10 years
Wire training using a single Guyot system
Harvest is normally at the end of September

Soil:

sandy, loamy soil

Yield per hectare:

7,000-9,000 kg per hectare

Vinification:

steel-tank fermentation. Matured with extended contact with the yeast in large used acacia barrels.

Description:

The PINUS Gewürztraminer has aromas of rose and quince; a strong, elegant body supported by a lively sparkle; and a long, aromatic finish.
