In Montan, in the sunny Etsch Valley, the PINUS Gewürztraminer grows at 400 metres. At the vineyard, too, an eco-friendly system of farming has stood the test of time. Spraying only takes place in moderation and in a targeted manner, so as to prevent harmful damage. Wire training, plenty of care during the year and hand-picking ensure healthy and high-quality grapes in the case of a deliberately low per hectare yield. Apples, plums, apricots, quinces, pears, nuts and pomegranates grow on the farm. They are given to the Alpine hotel as part of self-sufficiency or turned into delicious marmalades and chutneys.
